It sometimes takes just the right singer or group, and the right time, to make a song successful. Popular wedding song “Bless the Broken Road” was first recorded 1994 by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Country music artist Marcus Hummon released a version of the song on his 1995 album, All in Good Time. Other artists, including Melodie Crittendon, covered the song; it even made a brief appearance on the Billboard music charts. Rascal Flatts released its rendition of the song in 2004. It skyrocketed up the charts and spent five weeks atop the Billboard Country Music charts.
