Tianna Day

Heyo! My name is Tianna Kaye Day and I’m one of the newer DJ’s at Pro Sound Light Show. I like a little coffee in my cream and drink way too much of it. I currently work as a Customer Support Specialist at Optimum HIT in Duluth. I graduated last May from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a bachelor’s degree in English. I love to read anything I can get my hands on and am generally in the middle of several (too many) different books. I also do quite a bit of writing on the side, including my recent project of starting a blog. In my spare time, you can find me binge-watching Netflix, trying new recipes, or enjoying the great north. I’m an adventure addict and love exploring all of the unique opportunities this area offers. I discovered Pro Sound through a friend who had spoken with Nick at a hiring event and thought I would be a good DJ. Music has always been a major part of my life and I love that I can share this passion with both my colleagues and clients. I listen to just about anything on the music spectrum (my Spotify plays almost 24/7), but definitely prefer listening to my vinyl records. Right now my favorite album on vinyl is The Great Gatsby Soundtrack (2013). My favorite part of DJing is seeing the way music brings people together. A recent special moment while on the job was watching the young ladies at a father-daughter dance sing “Roar” by Katy Perry at the top of their lungs. I hope that future gigs will continue to remind me of the powerful way music connects us all and help me to learn more about my role in creating these memorable moments. A few fun facts about me are that my favorite movies are Beauty and the Beast (either version) and Good Will Hunting, my favorite author is F. Scott Fitzgerald, and I am obsessed with the Shipwreck Skillet at Julie’s in Superior. Electric Fetus is my favorite place to kill time in Duluth, and bonfires on the beach are one of my favorite outdoor activities in the area.
