By DJ Aaron Abramson – Yay! Another barn wedding! Having grown up on a farm raising horses, I really like the idea that many of these old barns are being turned into beautiful wedding venues, and Settlement Hill Farm in Hudson WI is no exception.
When I did my client call with Jessi (the Bride) ahead of time to go through the details, I became very excited for this wedding. It sounded like it was going to be an awesome group of people, and I was not disappointed. I showed up early to the venue like I normally do, and I was amazed to find that the parents of the Bride had home-brewed over 170 bottles of wine of various varieties. I wasn’t able to partake in the wine during the reception (I never drink while DJing), but they did send me home with 2 bottles of wine at the end of the night and they were DELICIOUS!
The downstairs dining room of the barn was BEAUTIFUL, and they had some gorgeous woodwork done around the bar, it was a very “rustic chic”. When we brought the party upstairs to the loft for the dancing, we rocked the house! I can’t believe we fit that many people into that hayloft of the barn, but everyone was dancing, and partying, and no one wanted to stop at the end of the night.
